Workout Plan: May 15-21

Summer break is just around the corner!

My kids have only 9 days of school left, so we are counting down!

And I am also counting down the days until I am going to have to switch up my schedule a bit since my kids will be home all day. This means getting up a little earlier than I have been or getting them on their bikes while I run alongside them. Or it may mean going to the park to do my workout while the kids play (and playing with them in the process). Kids LOVE it when parents play with them. And you never realize how stiff and immobile or weak you are until you try to do all the things they do and cram your body down the small tubes!

Some days we will go on hikes together or hit the pool and swim. I'm not sure how it will all play out, but I plan on getting them (and myself) outside and active every day.

Until then, I'm going to enjoy my gym workouts with my group. Sometimes we take the cardio outside and do hill sprints or wheelbarrow races or something fun and different. It's fun to change the workouts up to keep them fresh and fun.

What do you do to stay active and fit as a family during the summer?
